How to get started

Starting a new fitness program can be extremely daunting. . . here are a few questions you can ask yourself to make the getting started process feel more achievable:

  1. Are you looking for Fat Loss, Maintenance, or Muscle Gain?
    2. Are you internally motivated or do you thrive when there is an accountability factor?
    3. How many days per week can you commit 1 hour for yourself?

Whether you are looking for Fat Loss, to stay in shape, or gain muscle there are programs available to suit your needs . . . more to come on that is just a second.

First, you have to be willing to give yourself the time and space to exercise. That probably means changing up a few things on your schedule in order to create some new healthy habits like exercising 3 times per week.

Once the schedule is set, it is time to start practicing your new healthy habit. This is probably the hardest part, but at LIV Athletic you will instantly become part of a huge community of like minded people with similar goals and accountability needs. You will meet some amazing people who you will look forward to seeing each week, and who will hold you accountable to your goals and make sure you are having fun!

Each program at LIV Athletic is created for various fitness levels so there is a great place for anyone at any age or any fitness level to get started. Here is a breakdown of our main programs:

Are you looking to start up a new routine but not sure just how to get started? Crossfit sounds and looks awesome but dang does it look scary! Welp, we have this program known as Sweat! It’s our strength and conditioning class in which you’ll work on the foundations of strength, metabolic conditioning, as well as confidence in your movements. This class utilizes bodyweight movements and free weights such as dumbbells, kettlebells, and medicine balls. Barbells are not lifted in this class.

Health is where a lot of people start off in our Crossfit program. Barbell movements are heavily broken down throughout this class to ensure proper understanding of all power and olympic lifts. Most people in Health are new in their Crossfit journey and are learning the basics behind the movements, both with the barbell and gymnastics skills. However, you’ll also see long-term Crossfitters moving in this class!

Performance programming is built for the athlete who is confident in their lifts and is in need of fine tuning. The complexity of the movements is going to get amped up and you will find yourself being challenged in a new way. If competing in the CrossFit Open is a goal of yours, then think about going into Performance.
