What is Primary Coaching?

Everything you need to know

IMG 0637 1

Primary Coaching (PC) is a more personalized focus on your goals. It allows you to tap into so much more than your workout of the day. At LIV Athletic we build lifestyles and that requires attention outside of class.

The workouts are where it all begins, but there is so much more to a healthy lifestyle than exercise:
- Nutrition
- Time Management
- Social Engagement
- Continued Education
We encourage every athlete to take advantage of the full spectrum of a healthy lifestyle.

Here is how it works:

Every athlete is paired with a primary coach. This coach is your primary point of contact for your lifestyle building needs, account management, etc. With every 6 month membership you will get one 30 minute one on one with your primary coach to set goals and create an action plan to achieve those goals.

Most goals are related to nutrition and/or skill development within the gym so before we sit down for a one on one, there are a few things we ask you to do before your one on one session.

1. Fill out the LIV Athletic Goals Worksheet (insert link)
2. Attend a ROM Testing
3. Get an InBody Scan
4. Attend a Food for Fuel clinic

1. Fill out the LIV Athletic Goals Worksheet
This will help you and your PC get on the same page and create the best suited plan for YOU. Just email your PC and they will send it over!

2. Attend a ROM Testing
ROM = Range of Motion. Your development as an athlete is built on a strong foundation. Before jumping into a new skill development plan, you must be able to pass the ROM Testing. If there is an area of weakness, that is where you will start.
Ex: Say you want to learn how to do a pullup, but you still need work on your overhead ROM. Your PC will give you some ROM correctives for you to work on first, then when you pass the ROM, you will get the progressions for the pullup.

3. Get an InBody Scan
The InBody Scan is a great tool for both fat loss and muscle gain. It will help your PC establish a nutrition plan suited for your goals.

4. Attend a Food for Fuel clinic
The food for fuel clinic is designed to cover the basics of nutrition, macros, and the lifestyle behaviors related to eating healthy. The second half of the clinic will be reserved for a roundtable discussion to chat about any obstacles people are facing.

You can attend any of the above sessions as often as you would like throughout your membership.

How to get started:

All you have to do to is fill out your goals worksheet and schedule your appointments:

InBody Dates:
- Every Tuesday & Thursday: 7:45 - 9:00am

ROM Testing Dates:
- The 1st Monday of every month from 4:30 - 5:30pm

Food for Fuel Dates
- 1st Wednesday of every Month at 6:30pm

Living a healthy lifestyle does not have to feel restrictive and bland. It is time to spice up your life, and we are excited to start building your healthy lifestyle with you!
