Top 4 reasons you should come to the beach
1. It’s good for you.
Soaking in that salt water is good for your joints and muscles, as well as those little nicks, cuts, and scrapes. Get some good ole' fashioned vitamin D. It’s synthesized in the skin and healthy exposure to sun in small doses has been proven to be essential for bone health, healthy skin, and even helping improve mental health.
Mix up your workout - walk along the shore, go for a run. . . I mean, isn’t that what crossfit’s all about?
2. The people are kind of amazing.
The people at this gym are quite wonderful if you haven’t figured that out already, that means you need to be there even more! Come out, hang out, share stories, food, and drinks.
3. It's Relaxing.
Feel the sand between your toes, listen to the waves crash on the shore, let the wind blow through your hair, soak up some good vitamin D (which, by the way, an estimated 1 billion people are deficient, so don’t add to that statistic).
4. Have you read numbers 1, 2, and 3?

Before coming to LIV Athletic, Alex was the Field Operations Director for Youth Combine, a non-profit youth fitness organization in Gainesville. Alex has the ability to brighten your day from the moment she answers a phone or sees you in person. She brings a whole new level of fun to our community. She is also a University of Florida grad with a degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. Through her education, attention to detail, and all around barrel of laughs, her Sweat classes will leave you feeling strong and sweaty with a big ole’ smile on your face.
