Director of CrossFit
For as long For as long as I can remember I’ve always had the competitive bug. Growing up with a brother that was three years older than I inspired me to compete in just about anything and everything I could. If an activity could be timed, measured, or judged I wanted to try and put up the best score. I played the typical sports as a kid including basketball, soccer, and flag football. In highschool I found my first true athletic passion competing in track. Playing any other sport my favorite part of practice was always the conditioning, especially running. I competed in various events from the 200m dash to the mile but found my niche running the 400m.
After highschool I decided to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. I wanted to take my passion for athletics and training and refine it through my education. During the summer after my freshman year of college I took the advice of a friend and attended the crossfit class he coached. I was instantly hooked on the intense style of training and I especially took to the competitive environment that crossfit creates. I was suddenly exposed to this whole world where I could learn so many new skills and my competitiveness wasn't only tolerated but encouraged.
